The lines are too long! How can I get a better show without standing in line for an hour or more.

The lines are too long! How can I get a better show without standing in line for an hour or more.

We have made several changes over the last two years to combat the wait times.

First, the ticket booths are now located across the street from the haunted house and typically open earlier than the haunted house. This will enable you to purchase your tickets early and will speed up the admission line into the haunted house (additionally if you purchase tickets online, you may skip this line entirely).

Second, we restored a third service elevator, so that we can ferry more people down to the basement quicker.

Third, we made big changes inside that will eliminate some bottlenecks within the house itself.

And finally, new for 2011, we are opening Necropolis13, our all new Haunted Attraction located across the street from The 13th Gate. This will effectively cut the admission line (and wait) in half. Because the lines will now be shorter, we will also be able to break the groups into smaller segments allowing for a better (and more frightening) show.

Additionally, one of the best ways to not stand in a long line is to simply come early. We open the last weekend of September. If you come the first few weekends, you will miss the crowd and will be able to go into the haunted house with a very small group of people. This translates into a very personal nightmare. Additionally, Thursday nights usually have very small lines.

If you must come on a busy Saturday night, come early or later in the evening. Everyone seems to show up between 8pm-9pm.
